Anne Krothe-Wolfe
Anne Krothe-Wolfe
Hi there! I am Anne Krothe-Wolfe, LSW, and I am a trained social worker and dancer who uses my knowledge of mind, body, and spirit to guide people through difficult life situations and transitions in a way that will release the emotional weight and create more space for joy in life.
My calling has always been to connect with people and connect them with the people and/or resources that can enhance their overall wellbeing and provide them with ways to improve their life. That is why I ended up in this field. My social work studies have allowed me to learn even more about the way the world works and how I can assist people with their everyday challenges and major life events.
Over the last decade, I have worked in various roles at several for- and non-profits ranging from HIV/AIDS services and other public health organizations, to homelessness prevention and resources, to disability advocacy and assistance, to event and community organizing, to performing on stage, to statewide political LGBTQIA+ youth advocacy, and the list goes on! My varied employment history has afforded me the knowledge of many topics, services, and paths to a more peaceful life.
In session together, we can start with your strengths and any methods that are already working for you. I tend to naturally focus on a combination of cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and other mindfulness and somatic practices along with the IAM Center’s Inner Politic theory, a branch of objective relations theory, to help you create a new inner story that can aide you in living as your most authentic self.
I can provide individual, relationship, and group support to those who feel they are struggling to keep up with self-care and are dealing with mental health challenges. I am acutely aware of and understanding of major depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation.
I am deeply knowledgeable about the LGBTQIA+ community and can offer solace and care to those who are questioning their sexual or gender identity or expression. I can also offer nonjudgment and help to those who are looking to have a different romantic relationship style as they figure out what way works for them and their partner(s).
If you have ever felt like an outcast, you are safe with me, and we will find ways to work together to achieve your goals and move you forward.
I believe we are all mirrors for one another and that we can help each other to see ourselves more clearly as long as both parties are open and receptive.
I am honored to continue the legacy of this sacred space of the IAM Center, and I would be honored to be your guide if you feel you are in need!
